Lightplay founder Rick J. Lucas has been at the forefront of consumer and business technologies for the past 25 years.

During his five-year tenure with Electronic Arts, the largest electronic entertainment publisher in the U.S., Mr. Lucas managed multiple business units responsible for the development and marketing of software across numerous platforms and markets worldwide.

Subsequently, Mr. Lucas held the position of Director of Marketing and Strategic Alliances for the properties co-managed by AT&T Wireless and AirTouch (now part of Verizon Wireless), serving as the highest-ranking marketing executive in the organization.

In 1995, Mr. Lucas co-founded Lucas Design, a leader in design and development services for the wired and wireless Internet, whose clients include ERA Real Estate, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Hostess Bakeries, IBM, Lucent Technologies, Nortel, Oracle, Sprint, and Vanity Fair.

In 2008, Mr. Lucas was named as co-inventor on a U.S. patent related to application development for mobile devices.

Mr. Lucas formed Lightplay in 2001. The company is privately held, and operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lucas Design.
