GeoRealms uses mobile location services and Lightplay patent-pending client-server topology to translate the real-world movement of the player to the movement of the player’s character in a massive fantasy-based gameworld, equal to 100 real-world square miles.

The GeoRealms server framework allows real-time messaging and content extensions to be pushed to players in a seamless fashion, ensuring a dynamic and ever-expanding gameplay experience.

Players can align with friends and compete against rival clans to ‘claim’ numerous in-game landmarks, achieved by visiting the equivalent real-world location.

In addition, players participate in narrative-based quests requiring them to travel to a particular real-world location, or string of locations.

GeoRealms is not tied to any specific real-world geographic location. It can be played, simultaneously, by any number of players anywhere in the world, all of them sharing the same gameworld map.

The GeoRealms gameworld features full day and night cycles, which occur in tandem with those of the real world (based on the player's location). In some cases, quests and other gameworld events occur only at night.
